The air fryer will cook the potato just like an oven. However, it requires less time and cleaning. The air fryer doesn’t need to heat up like an oven.
Ingredients
This recipe is so simple and only requires 3 ingredients that you likely already have in your home.
Potatoes – We recommend Russet potatoes also known as Idaho potatoes. For even cooking, you will want all of your potatoes to be the same size.
Oil – This oil gives skin its crispiness. We use olive oil in this recipe. It is possible to use cooking spray in place of oil.
Salt – For flavor, we like to add fine sea salt to our potatoes. However, you can also use whatever salt you have.
How To Make Air Fryer Baked Potatoes?
Prep – First, wash potatoes in running water. Then dry them thoroughly. Use a fork to poke the potatoes.
Salt and oil- Place the potatoes in an air fryer basket. Drizzle oil and salt on the potatoes and then rub the oil until all sides are coated.
Air Fry – For about 30 minutes, heat the oil in a basket-style air fryer at 350°F. Turn the potatoes over and continue cooking for 5-15 minutes or until a knife can easily penetrate the center.
When Is A Baked Potato Done?
The size and type of your oven fryer will affect the cooking time of your baked potato. Larger potatoes will cook in less time, while thicker potatoes will take more time. Cook the potatoes until you can easily insert a knife into their center. You can cook your potatoes for 3-5 minutes longer if you need them to be cooked in the oven.
